Class-A Fire Protection (low flame spread) acoustic panels
The Richter acoustic & design Acoustic-Lightboard® meets high fire protection requirements.
Class-A ceiing panel means that the acoustic tiles are not impacted when the surface is exposed to a flame. It doesn't appear to burn and does not add to the fire. The ceiling panels do not help to spead the fire.
Fire Rated ceiling panels
A fire rating for ceiling tiles looks at the performance of panels once the space or the entire building is on fire. Here the main concern is the protection of the whole building. The rating is based at the construction of the building including ceilings, grid lights, flooring, sub flooring, air supply etc. New building construction may include sprinklers.
